UNITED STATES FLAG
FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
TOURNAMENTS
The USFFA conducts its Annual Championship Tournament to crown a National Champion in 8-Man Flag Football, during the 1st full week- end in December.
Each Member state (Franchise Holder) is permitted to send a quota of four (4) teams to the Championships. Additional teams may include: last year’s Defending Champions; last year’s Consolation Champion; and a Host Team from the Member state hosting the event. A limited number of “At-Large” births will be offered to teams from states who are not yet members of the USFFA, (one team per non-member state). The purpose of At-Large Teams is to introduce new locations to our program.
Each Member state may send four (4) officials to work the Nationals. More officials may be sent as long as the Tournament Director is given advance notice. Otherwise, he is obligated to provide accommodations and work for just four per state.
The Tournament is a single-elimination event. However, teams not receiving a bye in the first round are eligible to compete in a Consolation Tournament for a team trophy and a bid to return to the following year’s Championships.
